Have you been hesitant to make a bag because of zippers? Fear no more! Let Shannon help guide you through making this multi-zippered bag. You can even color code your zippers if you like to help you remember what you put in each compartment! (see Shannon’s shop sample)

This great pattern by Sew Demented can be made in a day and have many uses beyond your sewing notions! You will be a zipper master at the conclusion of class! Just select your favorite fabrics and join in the fun!

Recommended supplies:
- Sew Together Bag pattern by Sew Demented – each student is required to have their own pattern to attend class
- Exterior fabric – 1 fat quarter (18” x 22”)
- Lining fabric – 1/3 yard x width of fabric
- Pocket lining – 1/3 yard x width of fabric
- Binding fabric – 1 fat quarter (18” x 22”)
- 1 yard of fusible lightweight interfacing
- 1 18”x 22” piece of batting or fusible fleece if you are quilting the outside piece
- 1 - 18” zipper
- 3 – 9” zippers – (different colors if you like)
- Sewing machine, in good working order, that can sew through multiple layers of fabric and batting
- ¼ inch foot for machine and zipper foot for machine
- Template plastic and sharpie
- If your zippers are larger than the recommended size, you may want to bring
coordinating thread.
- Rotary cutter and ruler
- Pins and wonder clips
- Basic sewing supplies

You may arrive as early as 30 minutes before time of class to get set up and ready to begin.

Please park in the “free parking” lot at the end of downtown on the right, you may pull up in front of the studio to unload.
